After over a year of development, the M Series Alto mouthpiece is my first mouthpiece for alto saxophone and I couldn't be prouder of the end result. I wanted to create something truly classic, but with the BSS signature touch. Inspired by a very special original Meyer Bros piece that I have had for years, and before you stop reading this, I know there are a lot of Meyer 'clones' out there, trust me this is not that! My philosophy with BSS products is to try to build on the past ... not just try to copy it. It's not 1955 anymore and as musicians we respect history, but I also believe it's our duty to move music forward respectfully and that applies to our equipment needs as well. The M Series evokes that super-classic mid-century Meyer vibe we know and love, but also offers the advantages of precision CNC machined manufacturing technology to ensure that each one is "good" - no, forget "great"! The mouthpiece has a medium/large chamber, fluted sidewalls and a sumptuous roll over baffle that does the job without being constricted through the various registers.

The M series is a piece that exudes warmth and projects with the brilliance needed to evoke a classic jazz sound and the power a modern player needs. It is a vintage mouthpiece at heart, with the future in its sights.
