Box of 10 Vandoren V12 Reeds for Bb Clarinet

The reeds V-12 for clarinet Bb are cut from reed tubes of a diameter equivalent to that used for alto saxophone reeds.
This is why V-12 reeds are thicker at both ends than traditional reeds. They vibrate on a long palette and provide a rich, deep sound. The thicker end gives body to the attack and increases its longevity.
The addition of the 3½+ strength allows for closer graduation. This results in a greater homogeneity of the reeds within the same strength.
